Well, Alexis' acid reflux improved since she's been sleeping in her bouncer, but yesterday she spewed. I feel horrible because after some research I learned that something I am ingesting could be aggravating her reflux. This was no little spit up by the way. It was about half a liter gushing full force out of her mouth and nose. My poor baby. So here is to day one of my modified diet! No more caffeine or dairy for starters. I think if by next week she hasn't vomited I might start introducing dairy again but for right now I'm just trying to get her comfortable. This means propping a pillow under my arm when I nurse her so gravity can help pull and hold the food in her stomach.
Today's the day I put Haylie down for a nap in her big girl panties. So far she's a pro at going to the bathroom by herself. I'm a little worried about her wetting the bed, but her mattress has that lining on it that wont let liquids soak in so it wont be too big a deal if she does wet it. I would really love to have her potty trained by my mother-in-law's wedding on the 25th.
Speaking of which, her wedding is a themed wedding. Pirate themed to be exact so the wedding party and all the guests get to dress like pirates! I am so excited! I have my costume almost finished and Brandon is getting his this week. The girls are taken care of since 'Pink Grandma' (my mother-in-law) got their outfits. Haylie is the flower girl. I hope she does well, but no one will be upset if she doesn't. Besides she'll be with her dad and uncle Ryan since they will be taking the rings down the isle. I'm singing for her wedding too. Just one song during the ceremony, which is totally fine by me. I'm nervous though. I don't like singing by myself and so far I haven't found anyone to duet with me (which is what my mother-in-law would prefer.)
I am still debating if I want to do a 'meet the baby' party or not while we'll be in town. Since most of our family and friends live in GP 12 hours away we don't get to see them much and that would be a great way for me to get everyone together. But I don't know. It seems really short notice and I don't know what day we'd plan it for. So it probably wont happen.
I have yet to get out Lexie's birth announcements. I'm such a slacker. I really need to get them mailed off this week. After all, Alexis is already 6 weeks old. Holy cow, that flew by fast.
