I can't believe how long it has been since my last update. Alexis is 4 months old now. She rolled over for the first time today from her back to her tummy. She hates to be on her stomach because of her acid reflux. Because of that I have no idea when she'll learn to crawl. She loves to stand up though and 'walk' on my feet through the house. I plan on getting her a walker for Christmas to get her mobile. Breastfeeding is still going amazing and I'm introducing Gerber first foods. She is cooing up a storm all the time. She is VERY ticklish under her arms and on her belly. Our house is full of laughter between the two girls. The other night I put the girls to bed (I moved Alexis into Haylies room when she was 3 months because Haylie was saying 'Baby sleeps in here too!') and they stayed up giggling at each other. It was so sweet but I had to put my foot down and get them to sleep. We went to the mall for Halloween so Haylie could Trick or Treat this year. She was Dorothy from 'The Wizard of Oz." Alexis was an Oregon Ducks cheerleader. We had Thanksgiving dinner at David and Ashley's house. It was fun and it was also their 4 year wedding anniversary. It's nice having friends on the holidays when family is so far away.
Haylie is potty trained! She has been pro at going in the toilet throughout the day for months now, but just recently we have been leaving the house with her in underwear and she has yet to have a single accident. I have also been putting her down to naps in her underwear and there is no bed wetting. Last night my big girl said "No diaper, Mom. Underwear on." And she went the whole night without any bedwetting! Tonight is night two in underwear so we'll see how it goes. She can also count from 1 to 3, 4 to 8 and 9 to 10 but for whatever reason, can not lump them all together. It's still something though. For Christmas I found a huge plush Dora doll that I want to get Hayls. For those who don't know, Haylie is OBSESSED with Dora. She also likes 'Owski' (Mike Wazowski from 'Monsters Inc.') But she already has Mike toys. Haylie is now going to pre-school Sunday School at church instead of the Nursery (even though she shouldn't be in there until she is 3. She is 2 1/2) Yesterday she was sent home with the song 'Away in the Manger' which the kids will be singing in the Christmas Eve service. I can't believe it's time for that already. My baby singing on stage (if I can get her to learn the song in time lol which will probably be pretty tricky).
Brandon started a new job a few weeks ago. They laid him off so he was unemployed for two weeks before he found another machine shop to work at. I am SO thankful that there are so many machine shops in our area. As it is, if he were to lose this job today he'd have two other machine shops willing to snatch him up and countless others he hasn't applied at yet. He's talented and I think the employers can see that. I can't believe that we've already been married for 3 1/2 years. We're more in love than when we were engaged. He is such a wonderful provider. I am so thankful for him. In March we will have been together for 5 years. FIVE!
I am doing well. Considering being an art teacher for children. Possibly young adults ranges 12-15? Maybe. Before the "I know everything" attitude kicks in haha. Oh now I sound so old. I am so in love with my little family. Hopefully I don't go months without updating anymore. But if for whatever reason I do, Merry Christmas and Happy New Years! =]
