How did you grow so quickly? I blink

And all of a sudden, BAM!

You are two years old, so independent,

Like you are ready to take the world

In your hands and achieve any and


Everything there is to be achieved.

Rather than sit here missing you 


And crying, I will take pride in


You and all the new things you


Encounter as you continue to grow.

My Newborn -- 8-10-10

After your sister, I had no idea how I could

Love another person so completely and


Eternally. If it had been a math problem


X would represent my love for you and


I had to wait until your birth to 


Solve the equation.

Math has never been so easy, for as 


I heard your first cries, problem solved. I


Can’t even explain how much my


Heart grew that day. It was almost


As though you hadn’t just 


Entered our lives, but that you had


Lived with us forever. You were here, and


Always had been. And we are complete.
